Designed by the renowned Joe Colombo in the late 1960’s, the Basket Collection features curvy cushions wrapped in a woven rattan skin. With its refined materiality, gently retro look, and inviting comfort, GUBI’s edition of the Basket Collection brings Colombo’s vision of functional, innovative, future-facing design to life.
Replacing Colombo’s original fibreglass shell, the core is formed from a more environmentally responsible steel skeleton, providing strength and stability.
Covered with hand-woven rattan made from interlaced strips and oval stakes, a technique that demands a tremendous degree of skill and craftsmanship.

About Your Delivery
Specialist delivery
- To ensure that your purchase arrives safely, fragile items or smaller furniture pieces are delivered via our own specialist one-man teams
- You'll be given a named day delivery then advised of the approximate time slot the day before.
- Many items are delivered assembled so you only need to unpack them

What happens when I order?
If your items are in stock we'll contact you within a couple of days to offer a suitable date.
If they're made to order, we'll contact you as soon as our suppliers have delivered into us.
Deliveries are Mon-Fri but Saturday slots can often be arranged for most of the country.
Hassle-free returns
All online specialist orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery, regardless of reason.
Contact us and we will arrange for a crew to come out and collect the furniture.
There's no charge if it's faulty, but we do charge for change-of-mind returns.
