The very first model Hans J. Wegner designed exclusively for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1949, the CH24 or Wishbone Chair, has been in continuous production since its introduction in 1950. With a form that is uniquely its own, the back and armrest are shaped into a single piece. To give stability to the steam-bent top and ensure comfortable support, Wegner developed the characteristic Y-shaped back that the Wishbone Chair is named after.
To reflect the times we live in now, Crawford’s innate sense of colour and space marries beautifully with Wegner’s understanding of how a piece of furniture is experienced. The carefully curated palette of translucent, non-toxic, water-based paints was selected to add depth and complexity to the familiar shape – to create an atmosphere, as well as to allow the natural beauty of the wood grain to shine through each design.

What happens when I order?
If your items are in stock we'll contact you within a couple of days to offer a suitable date.
If they're made to order, we'll contact you as soon as our suppliers have delivered into us.
Deliveries are Mon-Fri but Saturday slots can often be arranged for most of the country.
Hassle-free returns
All online specialist orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery, regardless of reason.
Contact us and we will arrange for a crew to come out and collect the furniture.
There's no charge if it's faulty, but we do charge for change-of-mind returns.
